Windows doesn't recognize new CD drive, while old one does'n open

So in 2nd laptop at my work, cd drive broke this Tuesday and we can't open it (the first one broke months ago). It is recognized in windows tho.

As I have the new drive, I installed it, in but windows doesn't recognize the new one.

Could the connector be a problem here? Or could I troubleshoot it somehow in windows?
