My 290x died. It was after a long night of attempting to fix it I didn't have another card so I panic bought a 270x 2gb for $80usd at a brick and mortar "computer business" (one of those we'll clean your viruses type places).

I would like to figure out what would be the best card that my current build could actually use and not be bottle necked heavily by my cpu and/or ram. I'd prefer an 8gb if that is feasible and price wise I'm good up to $200usd.

One of these lads would probably be your best bet. Definitely towards the upper end of your budget and not the cheapest 8GB 580 out there, but it's worth it IMO. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/y2DzK8/sapphire-radeon-rx-580-8gb-pulse-video-card-11265-05
