Is this possible!?

Go to solution Solved by Ravendarat,

I don't think you are gonna achieve what you want there. To run a single 240 to cool those heat monsters are gonna require the fans to be spinning full time and pretty fast. Maybe consider just putting the cpu on the loop and air cooling the GPU

So I have made a very high end pc a couple of years back (see pic attached) and I am researching a new build.

I want to put together an ITX build with the 9900k (k or non-k as it wont be overclocked) and a 2080ti (not overclocked) in the Ghost S1 case with the large tophat and a single 240mm radiator.

Here is the question. Will those two be cooled efficiently with a single 240, or will I be screwed?

Here is the pic of my last build...

You won't be screwed, but you may not like the temperatures under load.

Wife's build: Amethyst - Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X570-P, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB, Corsair Obsidian 750D, Corsair RM1000 (yellow label)

My build: Mira - Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB EVGA DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X470-PRO, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, beQuiet Dark Base 900, EVGA 1000 G6

The Ghost S1 case wont allow for a thicc radiator and will only fit a 240 with a single tophat, but hopefully it will be just as cool with that and QUIETER that air cooling is my goal.

If you got a thick rad like an HWL SR2/GTX or EK 360XE, and ran decently high fan speeds (probably 1200-1500rpm), it would probably be OK, but I wouldn't expect temps to be much better than air cooling.

The case sadly cannot fit thicc rads, so I may need to rethink this or experiment with LM to take the heat away from the die better... idk. O_o
