Looking for some potential upgrades on my PC. wondering if there is now a big enough advancement in technology that i should consider upgrading from my Ryzen 1700, and if so what CPU?

No I have not. I am very heavy into gaming and streaming but not familiar with the technical side of things.

You can just open Ryzen master set your voltage to 1.375V-1.4V and try for 3900-4ghz

It includes an R7 1700 in the graphs, yours is likely to be slightly better or worse on what frequency it can get to at a given voltage.

Hello, man.

 

You have a nice configuration. My advice is to keep everything you already have as it is. When Ryzen 4xxx comes out, update your BIOS, buy the 8 core replacement of your 1700 (¿4700X?) and you are done for 5 more years.

That’s a refreshing response thanks! Is that expected September 2020? Or who knows?

No one really knows. If it keeps the same schedule of the last two releases, it should be between july and september of 2020.
