Android Bluetooth: Disable auto switch to another audio device

Hello

I have been having this problem as I have a Bluetooth always on plug in speaker and a Bluetooth headset. If I am downstairs using my headset and my phone connects to my speaker it will start using the speaker as the play back device. Is there a way to stop this auto switch?

I would prefer if there is an option that still auto connects to the devices when in range but just not switch the playback device in use.

Devices: Oneplus6t, Xm3, Onyx studio 4

Thanks

Simple. Just turn off the speakers

I know I am getting very first world problems here, but some I generally like to keep my speakers on as when I am in my room I can use switch to them whenever. But if I go the kitchen I lose signal then regain it meaning I would need to turn them off and on every time I leave the room. There are also times when I forget to turn the speakers off which is one of the reasons I posting this. I normally end up thinking the volume is too low on my headset and blast something on upstairs.

I understand this is like very high in the first world problems/I am lazy problems but I would just like to know if there is a solution.

Thanks for the reply :)
