Hi all! Recently finished my new build and everything is working well, with the notable exception of my case's front mic port.

I checked the HD Audio connection to the motherboard and it seems solid and I didn't see any loose wires or damage to the connector. Inside the case, it looks like where the wires connect to the port is a complete mess, but that's on Corsair, not me. Regardless, I could try to fix it somehow if necessary. (pics attached - kind of hard to get good ones)

Whenever I use my mic, it is full of static constantly. (Listen to attached). The problem is only on the front port. I have tested the mic on other devices, and on the rear port on the motherboard and not encountered any issues.

Additionally, the audio output on the front works great, so I don't think it's some kind of electrical interference because that would affect the audio out too, wouldn't it?

Any ideas? I really don't want to return and replace the case.

Derp. Downloaded the latest audio driver from the motherboard manufacturer and everything is perfect now. Shame on me for poor troubleshooting. I just thought the drivers were automatically installed since everything seemed to be working otherwise.
