I personally would go with the CTRL, as it is a keyboard made for enthusiasts. I own one, and it is one of my favorite tenkeyless boards I own.

You, on the other hand, need to look at the features of both and decide which one does what you need it to do. They're very different keyboards after all.

It really depends on your actual needs.  Do you need a Numpad or are you fine going TKL? Do you want to test or use multiple types of switches later down the line? Do you want extra macro keys? Do you want intuitive software compared to the more complex QMK? Do you want detachable cables? 

 

These should be the first few questions you should ask before deciding between these keyboards.  I personally own the CTRL and have since release and it definitely is a nice keyboard, but trust me.  There are some definite flaws to the keyboard.

 

1) Likelihood of double clicking will occur over time.  Possibly as a result of the hotswap sockets.

2) Magnetic feet can easily slip off if you move it to the sides while it's making contact with the table.

3) QMK firmware has a high learning curve.
