Hello forumers!

Even though I may not be great at it, I wanted to try streaming games at high quality and see how it goes. My current computer isn't that great and can only play simple games at low or medium quality.

I have all the other parts that I need like the mouse, keyboard and the monitor, I just needed help picking out a computer and someone recommended this website!

I've never built a computer before but I will be looking at a couple videos to help me out a bit.

I'll include a rough summary below:

  • Goal - Streaming and recording games at 1080p with high or ultra settings with a steady 60fps or more. Great performance and multitasking capabilities.
  • Budget - I'm unsure how much I will need to spend but I was wondering if anyone had a rough amount that will be necessary or recommended so I can save up some money.
  • Case - I like the look of the Meshify C case, what do you think about that case?
  • Currently using a 1080p monitor but would like it to be compatible with a 1440p monitor for the future.
  • Not interested in RGB or flashing lights.

My friend says I need m.2 but I'm unsure what that is. I have always used Intel, is AMD worth changing to now?

Thank you very much in advance!!!

PC part picker is going to be your best option. They have both AMD and intel (i'd personally go with AMD at this point) rig build guides targeted for streaming and you can compare prices, read reviews, etc. As for price, mimimum would be 1k and maximum for your needs would be around 1.7k. Here is a link for one of the guides https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/R3G323/great-amd-gamingstreaming-build , and here is the link for the build guide list https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/ hope this helps.

I've had a look at the links and builds provided but it's hard to know which one will do the job. I looked at the comments of a few builds and a lot of them are recommending swapping out different parts.

I'm just not sure which one will be able to do the job. Do you know which build would be better for playing, recording and streaming at ultra settings with 1080p monitor? I do want a 1440p monitor for the future but I don't plan on recording on anything higher than 1080p.

If a certain build is great for my needs, would you swap any parts out or highly recommend something else?

Also I forgot to mention that I'm from the UK.
