looks like your pin outs dont like up. Looking at your punch down block, port 1 is White Orange, but on the RJ45 you have Solid Orange and white orange is in pin slot 2 on the RJ 45 jack. Also pin 3 and 4 are backwwards on the RJ45 jack as well, should be Blue then White Blue and you have them reversed.

It's tricky with these jack pinouts since they will use different layouts on the back side but map it correctly on the other side of the jack but it still seems backwards in some manner, I agree.

It actually looks pretty good, seems hes using the B standard, which is what it should be. Looks like he has it correct on the punch down, but not matching on the RJ45 since it states which pin it is on the punch down. At least thats what im going by and the fact hes using the proper standard.

Yah, going between different jack/punchdown types on both sides can be tricky since I've got some jacks that have you punch it down weird on the back but the pinout is correct because they cross the copper inside the jack but I'm also using the same jacks on both ends of the cable which, even if they are incorrectly mapped, since they are the same on both sides it works fine. Definitely makes things more complex when you don't use similar jacks/punchdowns on both sides since things can look mixed up even if they aren't or they could be mixed up because they are using different punchdown points and assume you'll use their products on both sides.

I still agree with your original point though that the mapping doesn't look right on the first picture compared to the second and trying to swap one side around so they both match (punchdown side would be easier).

Both ends look correct to me, the punchdown block is tricky to read because of the angle, and also the spacing of the label doesn’t account for the gap between some of the wires on the actual punchdown.

I recommend getting an ethernet tester. You can get a cheap on that just tells you whether the pairs are complete: https://www.amazon.com/iMBAPrice-Network-Cable-Tester-Phone/dp/B01M63EMBQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=ethernet%2Btester&qid=1564849602&s=gateway&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1

Or one that will tell you how each wire is connected and even the length of the pairs: https://www.amazon.com/NF-388-B-Multipurpose-Network-Tracker-Ethernet/dp/B00BDI6O7Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=ethernet%2Btester%2Bnoyafa&qid=1564849726&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1&psc=1

(I have this one and like it. Note there is something wrong with the listing on Amazon - the NF-388 with 8 remotes and the NF-308 with 1 remote appear to be swapped. It doesn’t matter which you get as you only need 1 remote unit for this, they are otherwise identical in function)

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:
