FX-6300 overclocking

Go to solution Solved by Toxic Tom,

I have the Corsair H60 2013 editon water cooler. A very nice cooler.

First check your system is stable using prime 95. Then go into the bios and increase clock speed in small increments by tweaking the multiplier setting. Check for stability using prime 95 after each increase in clock speed. Check your temps every so often to make sure nothing is awry. Keep going until your system is no longer stable with prime 95 then either stop, or increase the voltage slightly and repeat the previous steps.

At least, that's how I'd do it.

Hello everybody,

I have built a new computer featuring the AMD FX-6300. And ofcourse i would like to oc it.

The thing is that i am new to the overclocking world so i was thinking if anybody has some tips for me.

The CPU is (ofcourse) the fx-6300 and the mobo is the ASUS m5a99fx pro r2.0

Thans in advance
