Hi, I’ve recently built my first gaming pc and wanted to check if everything was running smoothly before gaming. I used AMD’s Ryzen master to see if my cpu was at normal temperature and I come to find out that, when idle it is 45-55°c, I don’t know how to fix this because I am new to all of this stuff.

specs:

-Ryzen 7 2700x

-stock cooler that came with my Ryzen 7

-Asus rog strix X470-f

-Nvidia GeForce rtx 2070 super

-Corsair vengeance rgb pro 2x8gb

-Corsair x460 rgb

45-55c isn't too hot.

What are your load temps?

Moved to Air Cooling.

Like I said I’m new to all this how do I check that ?

You can run a synthetic stress test for 10+ minutes or however long it takes for temps to level off and cooling to reach equilibrium.

I like to use OCCT. https://www.ocbase.com/

That’s pretty normal that spike you get with that 55 Celsius is due to One of your core is boosting to 4.2Ghz plus the stock coolers sux, nothing to worry, If you’re not going to do any overclocking get a Black edition hyper 212 Evo, You can get it with RGB fan or just straight black fan.  That cool looking is my 2600X at 28c to 34c on idle.
