Corsair Link Lighting Node PRO behavior

Hi.

 

So i'm thinking about buying a 3 pack ML120 Pro RGB kit including the Corsair Link Lighting Node PRO controller. But I'm using Linux most of the time, but have no problem booting into Windows to change my RGB. That's what I currently do with my ASUS Aura stuff - boot to windows, set RGB, motherboard remembers settings so they persist even when booted to Linux.

 

So this is a question to owners of Corsair RGB products and in particular the Corsair Link Lighting Node PRO controller. If RGB is set in Windows using the iCue software, will the settings persist when rebooting or will it be rainbow barf until the iCue software loads again?

im not sure for the lighting node pro itself, but my corsair h100i pro rgb and my corsair vengeance rgb ram is essentially unicorn vomit till iCue loads.

I have 6 RGB fans connected into two separate Lightning Node PROs and neither retains lightning profile configurations. Whenever I'm turning on/off my computer it's in the default RGB mode.

 

Only my K70 keyboard retains a lightning profile without needing to load iCue.

For anyone wondering the same: I took the plunge and bought the three pack including lighting node pro and 6 port rgb hub for the fans. Don't know what the difference is between my setup and that of 'Shark With A Laser', but for me I can set and forget on the RGB and settings persist. I disabled autostart of Corsair Link (i hate all the junk ending up in tray). I even tried shutting down and unplugged power cable and hold power key to drain caps to ensure no power to the corsair controllers. Then plug in power and boot - RGB settings persist. The Corsair controllers must have their own memory. I am positively surprised.
