Depends on what you're doing, if you're mainly gaming go with the 3600, if you're doing stuff that needs more multi-core performance get the 2700

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Currently i have msi b350 tomahawk arctic and a r3 1200 and a 1050 ti.

I will be upgrading the cpu soon to a 2700 (200 euros) or 3600 (225 euros).

2700x costs 300 euros for some reason...

So should i buy the 2700 or 3600.

Probably just go for the 3000 series, unless you really need 8 cores. In which case you can probably find an R7 1700 for really cheap.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Indeed, and the 1700 isnt too shabby, sure it lacks in gaming but more then makes up for itself in content creation.

But there is also the 2600 for around the same price in most markets, and its not a bad choice either if you are into gaming
