Remote/IR Issue

jaytrl

Hello,

I'll get straight to the point: I have my bedroom TV and Kitchen TV both sharing a single cable box. The bedroom is right next to the kitchen across the wall. Anyway, I have an IR sensor on my Kitchen TV, but its difficult for the sensor to pick up or send out the signal. I can't change channels, turn ON/OFF, etc easily. I'd have to get really close to the TV in order it to work. I've tried moving the sensor on the TV, and I even swapped out batteries thinking it was possibly due to dying batteries on my remote. I'm using the basic Spectrum remote.

If anyone can help a fellow brother out I'd greatly appreciate it. A penny for your thoughts, opinions. Thank you in advance. Have a great day!

yes. the transmitter is definitely over the 'eye' of the cable box. It works, it just takes a while for it to pick up the signal and/or I have to stand really close to the TV for it to work
