USB-C powered LCD controller board?

Hi all, 

 

First time poster here, so sorry if this is in the wrong board. If it is, please feel free to direct me to the correct place. That being said, I'm looking to turn an old laptop screen into an independent monitor. It would be nice to have this screen powered by USB-C, so that it could be plugged directly into the computer or laptop without having to have a separate wire to an outlet. Has anyone seen of such a thing?

 

I do currently have a spare controller board that takes a normal barrel plug, so if someone knows of a USB-C (female) to barrel (male) adapter, that would work too.
