Updating Bios Help

So i want to update my bios to the latest version ive never done this from buying the motherboard i really need a Nuub Guide lol

i have a ryzen 1600, and the motherboard is a Asrock B450m pro4 Here https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.asp

the list of updates is Huge with other update needed at certain steps Shown Herehttps://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.asp#BIOS

im currently on bios version 1.00 and downloaded version 2.0 and installed the vga update needed to update this version of bios

instant flash says there no file available on my pen drive and using the option to download the update while in bios says no update needed even tho im on 1.00

im doing this as ive got new Faster 3000mhz ram and i remember tyzen needed bios update to deal with the faster ram and use it to the full effect

 

and yes i did format my f lash drive FAT32

Try using version 1.6 before 2.0. Or possibly any of the earlier ones. I assume you know you have to upgrade to 2.0 before moving on to 3.5. Make sure your drive is plugged into a 2.0 port and not a 3.0 port (one of the top two next to the PS/2 port).

yup i  have multiple version of   bios  on the flash drive , 1.10  to  1.60 and 2.00 ,  tried multiple usb ports including  the usb 2.0s  still get files not found Box

Partition out a 4G chunk of your flash drive and format that 4G chunk as FAT32. It took me an hour to figure out that too big of a flash drive won't work. Doing this the system will see 2 flash drives logically. Make sure to put your files on the 4G partition.

thanks i will give this a blast after a few games  chilling out  been in n out of the bios all day i need a break LuL

gave this ago partitioned my flash drive to 2gb  and in a usb 2 port at the back with fresh bios files  and same issue No files Found

And you're unzipping the file so that it's just the file and not the ZIP file?
