so this is a build I've made for gaming mostly and video rendering with sony vegas, I planning an upgrade because the build I have is nearly 6 years old (you know you need to upgrade when the hospital you working at is upgrading to much better cpu that you have in that case a core 2 quad clock at 2.4ghz) . I own a dvd drive, the Os, monitors and all the peripherals. also plan reusing my storing HDD from my curent pc (ST310005 24AS )

 

 

I can get stuff from the US, Canadian site tend to be a bit more expensive.

looks good to me, except that power supply. It's a bit much. Maybe lower that processor to something like a 4670k and with the extra money put that into a 780 or something.

You don't need a 700W power supply unless you are going sli which by then would be better to just go with a more powerful single card

I don't think 4gb is a good idea, somthing with the Bus of the card, if @Bluejay0 , the GPU expert (IMO ) can confirm this.

yeah hi there!

 

The 256-Bit bus will not be able to fully utilize the 4GB within the card. It will use slightly over the 2GB mark but not all of the 4GB on it.

i would recommend either going with a gtx 760 or 780 i personally dont think the 770 is worth the money.

The 770 is worth it compared to the 680 in terms of pricing currently. The high memory clock is really nice and right now you can really find them at a base of like 300$. The 280X would be better but with the miner rush it has become hard to get it at the original cost.

yep i know i might look into and avoid buying from resellers. ive seen some cards that are retailed at 200ish being resold as 300$
