Help

So my pc wont boot, the fans were spinning but have now stopped. The only light that appears is the one on the motherboard labeled SB_PWR. I am booting of an external hard drive. Here are specs and pictures

 

asus M5A97 Le R2.0

Amd fx 6300

corsair ddr3 ram

radeon hd 5700

lsu data 700w psu

 

 

also the fans were working and then stopped

Do you have another PSU you could test with?

Otherwise try taking everything out of the case and making sure it's all plugged firmly.

Ok cheers, could it be because i used these for standoffs because my case didn’t come with any?

more than likely not or else you would have always had issues, it could also just need to be dusted out well

Not really, kind of need spare hardware to test stuff like this, Is it your only PC? I assume you have no budget for a replacement if it is the only one.

Yeah but my other pc pc is msi b350 pc mate with a ryzen 5 1400 and a gtx 1050 ti so the chipset is different for the cpu right?

ya but probably just try the other power supply or something first.

If it doesn't power on with a new power supply then it's probably just the motherboard that died

I got the fans spinning, still no boot though? Would it be because im using an external hard drive to boot instead of internal
