Mbps and MB/s are two different units and 6Mbps equals to 0.75MB/s.

How are you measuring speeds on your devices?

Still very little to work with here. Wireless or wired? What device is it?

Wired pc

Well, there are many things that can effect your speeds:

  • Quality of connection i.e. poor WiFi signal / ethernet cable (they have different speeds, quality may differ, could be damaged?)
  • It's very likely you are on a shared connection instead of a dedicated line so other people living nearby can have an impact on your speeds
  • Distance to the server you are connecting to
  • The quality of the server's connection will also have an impact
  • If the connection to your ISP is wireless i.e. mobile internet, then signal strength will affect speeds

There are many more possible reasons.

Also consider that your ISP is likely advertising peak speeds.
