ah, the xxx. sounds all good to me. 1060 performance with moar vram

Hi, a while ago, i was following every single thing that was happening in the GPU market so that i could get the best price for my money...

But i stopped about 1-2 years ago since i didnt have any money for a GPU so i just gave up looking.....

Can someone tell me if now is the right time to start looking for a GPU or should i wait for some upcoming releases?

My price range is 200eur-300eur, and at that time, i had my eyes at GTX 1050ti 4gb but it looks like the market has changed quite a bit ....?

Afaik GTX 16xx series are not worth it, and RX 5xx Series are the best option out there at this time

Are there any releases that i should be aware of before i start looking for a GPU, and what are your opinions on the current GPU market and which GPU is the best one in my price range?

Thank you!

Btw, im buying new stuff, not used .... used market is really bad over here in Serbia

If the games you play aren't performing as fast as you'd like, then yes, get a new GPU now. Otherwise, upgrading something that doesn't need upgraded is a waste of money.

If you aren't sure, check how your games are performing.

well... for 200-300 Euros you can actually look in something like a b-stock 1070 (ti), a brand new vega 56, or something along those lines

Currently i have a s***ty R7 240 or smth like that, i dont even know anymore

Tbh, it can run most of the stuff that i play (GTA V, RimWorld and CSGO) but some extra FPS would be welcome as im GPU bottlenecked most of the time

Main reason why i want to get a new GPU is for video encoding, and that is why i would prefer an Nvidia cuz i know OBS supports their encoder .....

Imma see if they support the AMD one, if they do, that is even better, i would go with AMD then :P

Just looked up, nah, in Serbia a 1070 (non TI) is about 350eur, and Vega 56? pfffff, almost 500 xD

oh wow... wouldn't it be cheaper to import it from Germany or something then? iirc you only pay the VAT difference and shipping

Not sure, and i dont have any way to pay stuff online, how our stores work is that they deliver to your house and you pay with money to the courier, that is the only way that i can pay :/

And isnt shipping like 30-50eur +?

ow... then it'll be hard to get something from there...

shipping is like 30-50 euros, but a vega in germany also costs less than 300 euros

but yeah... how's the pricing of the following?

rx 590

rx 580

gtx 1060

gtx 1660

gtx 1660 ti

rtx 2060

rx 5700

used rx570 has best value right now, it shall hold up to 1080p high details  till 1440/144hz gpu are readily available at mid range prices

yeah, they have something like nvidias nvenc, but I'm not sure how it performs

but still, it's a great save over 1060 6gb pricing, which it generally performs close to

Well what a coincidence, this video was released yesterday xD

He used a RX 570 8gb which ..... isnt that cheap over here...

and eyyyy, he used the PSU that i have right now! ... price is  basically the same over here :/

Btw, at the end, i went with an RX 580 8gb from XFX (the one i linked a while back in this thread), it was exactly 220eur and should arrive in 2-3 days, tnx everyone who commented up to this point to help me pick a GPU
