thermal paste on cpu

One last question(my pc build has been one hell of a ride) ok so when i installed the cpu with pre applied thermal paste i had some issues with installing the fan and had to take it off the cpu and well do it again and well it worked however it did leave some and i mean like a line(very thin) line of thermal paste when i took it off to put it back on, i put it back on thinking that its fine, i checked everything and no thermal paste has gone on board on under cpu to my knowledge. However im having second thoughts, did i do the right thing?

is it conductive thermalpaste ? its most likely fine unless you put WAY to much on it. if ur having doughts id just redo it otherwise it will bug you for weeks to come
