RX 580 resolution problems

Hi all, Ive been having some trouble with my RX580 and custom resolutions with different refresh rate. Im trying to change the resolution from 2560x1440 to 1440x1080 whilst keeping a 165hz refresh rate. i can not do it without changing the timing standard from manual to CTV but that changes my refresh rate to 164.835 and does not let me use 165 only 144hz.

have you tried enabling VSR? ive only got a 1080p/75hz monitor but with VSR enabled im able to push 4k/75hz. i mean i dont get 4k/75fps in games, but my monitor doesnt know the difference

Yeah im trying a custome resolution thats downscaling from my original one so VSR wont help that
