3950x release date ?

As far as I can tell, except for a vague "September", nothing has been confirmed about a potential release date for the next Ryzen.

I forgot to put points in the Googling skill though, so maybe I'm not aware of the latest news...

Do we have any actual or even rumoured clues as to when the Ryzen 3950x will be available "exactly" ?

( basically one of the web retailer in my country offers a 60days testing period, so I'm thinking of grabbing a 3900x for now and sending it back to get a 3950x come September )

**bump**

anyone?

Nope, but unless you are heavy into content creation, I don't see any value in going with a 3950X.

I think if you are just gaming, a Ryzen 7 will give ytou the extra cores for streaming/recording along with uninterrupted gaming.

As much as people push the Ryzen 5, OBS has gotten better optimized for Ryzen and I sit at far lower CPU utilization than when I was running it back in 2017 on the same hardware with the same OC.

streaming at 720P60 on the very fast x264 preset, I can record and stream at the same time, and only utilize 5%-10% CPU depending on what is going on. A lot of headroom there to bump up without impacting game performance at all.
