FaceBook Page Questions

From my limited understanding with FaceBook pages, I must first sign up for a FaceBook account only then can I create a FaceBook page.

 

Say the goal is to create a FaceBook page for a club at a college. 

Would it be best that the president creates the FaceBook page with his personal accoutn?

Also, how would the president pass on facebook page access to the next president? 

 

How does FaceBook pages work?

Does FaceBook pages implenet muti user control e.g. administrators and moderators?

I'm a student club coordinator at my uni and I run our Facebook page.

Any member of the club can create the Facebook page with their personal account, but it would be good to have this person as an administrator

Make the new person an administrator and then the new one can remove other people associated with the page

Yes, there's both of these, editors (lower access admin) and a couple others mostly useful for large businesses.

We have a facebook page to promote our activities and communicate externally, and we have a hidden group for our members for the actual work.

 

We used to have a group, but it has been abandoned in favour of the page before my time in the organization, currently it's basically dead.
