Looking to upgrade CPU

I currently have an AMD FX-8370, I bought this CPU 4 years ago, I have an ASUS M5A97 2.0 MOBO, so Ryzen CPU's can't fit on it.

 

I'm looking for a new AMD CPU recommendation, price is not an issue unless you suggest the Ryzen TR (Which I can't afford), and then I'll buy a new supporting MOBO

At the moment AMD is the only meaningful choice for new CPUs as Intel is way expensive in comparison.

You could get a brand new just released Ryzen 7 3700X and an X470 motherboard for a good price. You could also get a newer X570 motherboard, but they cost a lot more.

You would see a huge improvement compared to the FX-8370 which was pretty outdated 4 years ago and was never much good for gaming (although it could have aged worse).

CPU upgrade is of course, 3rd gen Ryzen. Intel stuff is just too expensive for now (max core count thing aside), and older Ryzen is somewhat hard to justify when you say anything priced below a TR is ok.
