Hello i'm new here and just wanted to get peoples opinion as i dont really now much about pc hardware myself. I recently got an i7 7700 but im still using the stock fan and im being told the cooler master is the best fan but is 7" so wont fit within my case.

Can i get any opinions on what is a good Cooling fan for the CPU ?

Thank you. Drazhar

Depends on your Budget but for beefy air cooling Noctua is the best choice and AIO liquid coolers have a hard time dissipating heat over time. Personally, I take a lot of time and effort to make sure what I buy suits what I will use it for and will perform up to its standards so... if you are upstairs air cooling all the way if downstairs either one is good. you could just input your specs into pc part picker and it does dimensions for you. What Case do you have?

If you're not sure what case it is, please post some photos of it.

You can stress test and check temps with software like OCCT.

Hm, I don't recognize the case. Can you measure the distance between the socket and the side panel?

If you haven't already, try a stress test with OCCT to see what your load temps are. https://www.ocbase.com/

From the top of the Stock it is about 5 and a half inch to the side and from to base of the stock it is around 6 and a half. ill give the link alot as well and do a stress test.

That should be enough for some pretty decent coolers. Why do you feel the need to get a new cooler? Are the temps too high or cooler too noisy?

Where are you shopping / located? Budget?

@WoodenMarker

Cooler are to loud even when nothing is open. I dont really care for getting the highest fps and graphics as i mostyl always have everyting at 60fps and medion sometimes high graphics so it is mainly to quiet it down alittle and my budget i can go for anything as not really in a rush just something id prefer to have and im located in the UK

Sorry for the late reply -- been a bit preoccupied.

Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

If you just want a quieter solution, the PR Slim is hard to go wrong with: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/hyQRsY/be-quiet-pure-rock-slim-351-cfm-cpu-cooler-bk008

If you want a bit more headroom for a beefier cpu later down the road, the Gammaxx 400 is a good alternative: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/hJFPxr/deepcool-cpu-cooler-gammaxx400
