Trying to get into computer gaming

Ok. I have never owned a serious gaming computer because my situation is unique. My entire home is off grid solar powered. Meaning I have power limits most of my house runs off 12v. I do have inverters however the efficiency drops drastically using them. Not to mention the added cost. I want to get into VR gaming I have already decided on the HTC vive +3 trackers for full body tracking. I can easily run the bay stations off my household power by changing the plugs. My question here is what laptop would best suit my desire for vr gaming and gameplay recording. I would prefer laptops that I could extend battery life by using power banks and not having to run an inverter. From what I found the razer blade gtx1070 seems a good fit however I'm way over my head on this topic I would appreciate the opinion of the forum so I can make a wise decision.
