onboard wifi

hello there

 

how does onboard wifi on motherboard fare against a dedicated wifi card? i already own a dual band tp-link wifi card but i'm not sure if its worth it to go for mobo with wifi card already (i'm not at home so i can't give the wifi card spec yet)

 

that said, have anyone have experience using onboard wifi in general? or gigabyte one? (been eyeing a gigabyte x570)

 

internet cable is out of question so no need to mention that

I really don't see the need for a dedicated wifi card for home use for most motherboards. The Gigabyte X570 board linked below comes with the new WiFi 6 802.11ax standard built in for future proofing. I wouldn't be surprised if most X570 boards do. You can check that out.
