USB Driver Crash

Hey!

I have a two bay USB 3.0 HDD dock which has both of it's bays populated. My problem is, that when I try to move large files (10+ GB) to a drive in that dock at some point all of my USB ports start working for a second and then come back alive. It doesn't happen when I use any other USB drives. Does anyone have any input on why it's happening or should I just throw my dock out the window?
