Hi

So i got a new Eluktronics mech-15 g2Rx, Its like 2 months old i have started playing games on this for  month now and did a few stress tests on it. The temperature is a bit too much like 100 C at one point. So i Looked up and found out about intel Xtu which is a new thing for me .I undervolted it to -0.150 with no effect, got a new cooling pad which ALSO NOTHING. So i found out about Intel turbo boost (like i said  i am new) and found out that i can reduce the turbo max power which i reduce from about 45 W to 20 W and so there was a temperature drop but wasnt constant. For example I played Planetside 2 ( a CPU intensive game) i saw a reduce in temperature to 74 for about 30 min the next day xtu resets and i change it again with no effect but i managed to make it go back to 77 C to 80 C with the decrease after a restart. Then i tried Witcher 3 which gave a 95 C when i reduce turbo max to 15 W while i was playing it went down to 77 C. That let me to believe that the turbo boost is better off turned off . Also its a 15 inch laptop and i found out that all the 15 inch laptops have same problem with Intel i7 9750H.And i have read cases where changing the thermal paste 3 times doesn't work until he was able to stop clock.

I had a power limit throttling when ever i reduce power max which i feel i safe because it is sending more than 20 W but less than 30 W in most cases( default is 45 W).

My specs

CPU

 i7-9750H CPU@2.60

RAM

16 GB ram

Storage

ADATA sx8200pnp SSD 1TB

GPU

Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 with max-Q design

With that i get a 140 to 50  fps in planetside 2 depending on the place of the fight  (GPU for all 3 being less than 80 C)

150 to 100ish in war thunder

60 in witcher 3 may have dropped but i didn't notice any difference

So i am willing to disable Intel turbo which may loose few fps but i don't think it will be so low that the gameplay will be effected.

I saw a option to turn off turbo boost in XTU but found no video about it or all the videos i found were mostly older versions; So could anyone tell me if i can use disable Intel turbo boost in Intel XTU if yes do i need to also disable max and short boost.

Thank you.

P.S Also found that there is occasional increase in cpu usage to 10 or sometimes 20 % when idle and when it increases the temperature goes to 60 or if its 20% to 70 C and in idle the CPU speed is 3.41 or sometimes 3.90 GHz though base is 2.60Ghz only reduces to 0.90GHz if i put it in power saving
