Laptop Advice Help - XPS 15

Hello all, from my previous posts on this topic I have narrowed down a laptop which has been recommended. The Dell XPS 15, I am not to sure what configuration to go with and another user also recommends using HIDevolution. Would it be possible if you could give me any views or recommendations on these specs.

I have also heard about the Dell G7 but I am not sure. Also not sure if I need the display calibration or minimise dead pixels (optional services from HID) 

 

I will be using the laptop for work/college and gaming.
