My brother recently moved into a new apartment complex, and they offer free electricity, so I've been looking into mining. He and his gf already have decent rigs (iirc an rx 480 and gtx 1080) and I have an old gtx 690 I can bring over sometime. The plan would be: I remote in, set up their rigs with NiceHash (I've already set it up on mine, so I'd be able to get theirs going much quicker) and they mine in their free time. I log into the wallet every once in a while (basically whenever I see a bump in BTC, lol) and convert the coins into cash and yay, maybe $50/month. What I'd like help on is:

general suggestions of course, I'm pretty nooby here,

good wallets, good places to convert to cash (bank deposit would be the best),

and most importantly, optimizations. Ideally, I'd set their main cards to run at 75-80% so their cards don't experience much/any degradation (though I'm very willing to change that, if someone has data on what causes mining cards to die) but any auxiliary cards (the 690 for now) would run at 100%, since I don't care if that card bites the dust.

Thanks for any help!

Yeah no, you're a few years late.

The few cents you make are lost in degradation of your hardware and lowered resale value, assuming your stuff doesn't die in a few years.

Might as well pick up quarters off the sidewalk, you'll make more.
