I built a brand new PC for gaming in January. It worked perfectly for 4 months, then my Logitech G602 apparently died (buttons stopped working, inconsistent sensitivity). I bought another, which worked fine for a week then still had the same issue. I tried 2 different g502’s (the proteus and hero) and those didn’t work (they did on other pc’s though). A friend recommended the model O, but that didn’t work either. Then he recommended I buy a new mousepad, and that seemed to work. However, after that I would constantly shift my dpi down because it felt like it was getting more and more sensitive. I started out with 1500 dpi at 3 sense in the game I play. Then 1300, then 1250, then 1200. I shifted my dpi down to 800 by 4, then 700,  now I shift back and forth between 700 and 600 (neither feels consistent or comfortable anymore). Things I have tried: MarkC mouse fix, resetting my pc, new mousepad, disabling acceleration on both the pc and mouse settings, having only one dpi and rebinding all the buttons that changed dpi, and a few others I am probably forgetting. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

I've owned a G502 for about 4 years now (Proteus spectrum and now hero), and honestly I cannot get used to any other mouse. However, one issue I had recently ran into was the Logitech software. Upon updating to the newest Logitech G Hub software, my DPI kept resetting every time I turned my computer on (along with my custom binds) or even when I launched a game due to the "game detection" feature. Because I have each button on my mouse set to a specific purpose in any of my games, it made my experience unplayable, and for some reason I could not set custom DPIs and binds on the hardware profile.

I reverted to the older Logitech Gaming software and set everything up to be a hardware profile, making sure I had only 1 profile (not 3) and one constant DPI (850).

Also make sure you're using your mouse on a smooth surface, and your USB port is not defective. Good luck
