I got fix my vega 64 which i got at first hand for 360$(25k inr). I know that the vrms are heating up cause asus strix has a naked vrm.

So as to fix it i need to buy some thermal pads.can i got for generic 1w/km pads or should only choose 5,6,8 w/km. All at or around 1.5 to 3mm thickness.

What to choose, pro guys please give stats. In india the thermal grizzly n arctic are overly priced pads.

have you measured the gap between the VRM and the cooler?

you want the lowest thermal resistivity/highest thermal conductivity pads in an ideal scenario

Ya manufacturer has used 1mm 1.2mm ish its the vega 64 by asus strix. Many youtubers have already given the fix. But my problem is the thermal grizzle are priced at 2000-2300 INR which is 30$ avg. It not like in US where price is near to 10$. Only available ones here over amazon, at 10$ price are 1W/Km - 1.2W/km which are supposed to be 1$ stuff.

Do you think it(1.2w/km ish) does the job or should i spend 30$ for thermal grizzle. Its not just thermal grizzle even arctic n other are highly priced here. So i have raised this question.

it's in your best financial interest to spend the extra on the good pads. if you put bad pads on and they kill the card by overheating the shit out of the VRM then you're really gonna be stuck down a financial hole on it

Better not to risk the 360$ for 30$ upgrade. Will by a thermal grizzle. It is good right?
