Lighting strips for my setup.

I currently have this bunkbed with a table underneath the mattress where i have my pc setup.

My bunkbed is put in a corner of the room where there is little light from the lamp on the ceiling.

What i need are some sugetions on what kind of lighting method i should get to illuminate my desk so the light from my monitors doesnt burn my eyes.

I've been thinking of some led-strips which i would mount underneath the mattres on the metal grid which holds it but i am not sure.

Any advise is appreciated.

If i get strips, how should i mount them?

Should the light be facing the monitors or me?

Mounting - double-sided adhesive tape: https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Tough-Double-Mounting-Inches/dp/B00OXVG9FW/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=double-sided+tape&qid=1561863610&s=gateway&sr=8-4

Although some strips do come with adhesive pre-applied to the back face.

 

And I'd have the strips face away from the viewer - the direct light can be a bit intense IMO.
