Disassembling a pc

Hi so I'm disassembling a pc and I've gotten all but one of the cables out (24 pin)

I'm scared that I'm gonna break it if I don't remove it properly am I doing something wrong? Or... What?

The tab that is on the outside of the plug facing away from the board - it's a retention clip.

 

Press the top of the tab with your thumb down and back towards the board as you pull the plug out.

Okay im guessing it aint working cause i am pulling it really hard but it wont come out

Sometimes you gotta wiggle it left and right; and if it's an OEM board, sometimes they use shit like hot glue to secure it in.

 

Make sure you keep the tab depressed as you pull the plug out.

Id say keep a hand on the mobo and use the other to pull it out. personally with mine it takes a bit of back and forth moving action from left to right to work
