970 Evo plus not working properly

Hey all. I just got a 970 evo plus in today and installed it. I got windows to recognize it and configured it. 

Although where my problems lies is it keeps crashing whenever I try to download a large file like Fortnite to the drive. It will immediately crash or crash after a few minutes of installing. 

Also I cannot get Samsung Magician to recognize it in that software either.  

 

All my drives are set the ACHI (or AHCI) in bios and not raid. 

Also all my drivers for the drive are up to date.

 

Let me know what my other options are. Thanks in advance for any help! 

Aldo I guess I should note that this is a gaming/storage drive and not my main boot drive. 

 

Specs:

i7-9700k (not overclocked)

Asus Hero XI Motherboard

2080ti

Corsair rm850x

16 gb ram dual channel

1 TB HDD

250 GB SSD (boot)

970 evo plus 1 TB (that I just sent $$$ on and I want it to work)
