When i bought my pc parts, i ordered a 2600mhz (planned on overclocking it to about 2900 or hopefully) kit for my ryzen 3 2200g cuz i knew ryzen likes fast memory, but exactly after i ordered said the seller that they ran out of those sticks so instead of that did i get a 2133mhz kit. Ive used that for about half a year now but i really want to overclock it, tho i dont know if my mobo can do that since it isnt a cpu overclockable mobo. Its the a320m-hdv r3.0. I found 1 tab in the bios but i think that wasnt overclock and instead just a tab where u could choose which speed the memory was it the auto detection didnt work. So im wondering if it is possible, how do i do it, and what should i hopedully get out of it. The ram type is some off-brand or chinese brand called SpecTek incorpiration or soemthing along that name

I don't think you can OC in an A320 board. It's the barebones model for just running the parts, and nothing more. Get a b350 or b450 board to overclock properly.

Motherboard: MSI B450m Mortar Max

Processor: Ryzen 7 2700 w/ Wraith Prism

RAM: Klev Cras X 3200mhz 8gb x2

GPU:  Zotac Mini GeForce GTX 1070ti 8GB

PSU: Seasonic GX-750

Case: Inplay Robin 101 + 10 fans w/ hub and remote

Storage: Toshiba 1TB, Western Digital WD Green 1TB, Crucial BX500 480GB

yeh thought so :,( . I would get an b350, but im kinda saving up for a new cpu. And since this mobo is still very functional, im sticking with this one, get the new cpu and afterwars get a better mobo.

Should work - you can "oc" the memory: Raven Ridge (your CPU) - source https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320M-HDV R3.0/index.asp#Specification

2xRR_2933-2667.png

Download DRAM calculator https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ryzen-dram-calculator/

Maybe try 2933/2667

Nice! What do DRAM calculator do? is it some sort of program that "predicts" what i can OC my memory to?

And also, i cant seem to find the OC ram tab or whatever its called. Ive looked thru almost everything in the bios, and so far the only thing ive found so far is cpu related or some.

Ahhhh nice. So i change the frequenzy just by selecting it on that DDR4-2400 tab? and then change the timings under it?

EDIT: i dont understand anything in that calculator program. Am i suppose to put in what i have or what i want to have? like the speed and all. I got 2133mhz but the lowest i can choose is 2666. And i cant find what memory type it got

Doesn't the A320 board have a max supported frequency though...

Yes and you can OC as well in the bios or with a tool called A-turning - you have to download the APP shop https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320M-HDV R3.0/index.asp#Download

Check manual page 38 for A-turning:

Ok try using samsung b-die profile v2 - read xmp first and then select safe (in dram calc) - remember to change dram voltage to 1.35v instead of 1.2v

You can try some of the other settings also samsung d/e?- die

I have to move. If anything fails, then i have found that your memory should be able to run 2666mhz/2667 at 19-19-19-19-43@1.2v - these timings is taken from the sam patroit series - just a higher clocked model. (they are the same. You may need to add a little bit of voltage)
