Any clue on how to crop a selected region of an image and paste it onto another image? For ex: cropping a character and pasting it onto another image

Selection tool. You can do rectangular, circular, free hand or scissors (about at the line). Use Ctrl and Shift to add or remove parts of selection. Then you copy selected (make sure you have correct layer selected) and paste either as floating (default) or by some other method.

I've got it. But I do not like where I need to manually and take my time to trace around what I need removed or copy. I also use microsoft 3D paint and it has the same function but it does it automatically.

Well, scissors do kinda that. Or you can choose with magoc wand.
