So I scrounged up a Dell Perc card at the office and a couple 1 tb SAS drives that our Server guy was going to just throw out so.... 

I pulled the video card out of my old AMD FX 4300 system and put the SAS adapter in there...  

 

Now I have the availability of a legit hardware RAID setup for a file server.  So I am gonna burn my old gaming rig down and put Server 2019 on it and just run it as a file server to consolidate a lot of my old files off various hard drives I have sitting around.
