Is the MSI PS63 - 8RC enough to run autocad or rhino or solidworks smoothly? I’m planning to buy a laptop for architecture school as my laptop broke down and is really old.

For what you mentioned, the best would be laptops with Quadro GPUs.

Even a lower end Quadro is better than the 1550Ti or 1660 for the tasks you're wanting to do.
