PC slow

Ok so I built my first gaming PC in May and it was running fine and it started being slow. Now it won't open games and other stuff sometimes.

 

Specs

CPU: AMD athlon x4 860k

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-D3H (Refurbished)

GPU: EVGA 1050it

RAM: Patriot Signature DDR3 8 GB

-What kind of drive do you have installed?

-How much space is available on the drive?

-Check for unnecessary processes starting on boot

 

Also, won't open games? Won't open, or just slow?

What are you using for the boot drive and mass storage?

Hard drive or ssd or GPU drive. And it won't open anything sometimes only a few like steam, discord, and control panel.

If you open task manager, go to the "Performance" tab, then select the C : drive, as seen below:

 

(C : is the drive your computer boots from, and if it's slow, that could be causing your problems).

You have to clean the cache and other unnecessary files.
