Hello!
Ive been running a Win10 home server for about 8 months and it restarts randomly. Have stress tested the cpu,ram and gpu with Aida64 with no avail... everything works fine. Also checked for crash dumps but there are none that i can find atleast. It restarts everywhere from 1day to 7days regardless of load. Got plex server running of it and a ARK server atm but the PC still restarts even with these off. Checked thermals and on full load the CPU gets up to about 58c no issues here. Im thinking maby its the ram.. got a few from a friend who fried his motherboard and since the server is built from spare parts i did not think twice about it. Also tested with windows update disabled and the issue presists.

Anyone got any tips or ideas ?

Specs:
CPU: i5 6500
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3
Ram: 16GB SK hynix (HMA41GU6AFR8N-TF)
GPU: Nvidia Gefoce 770GTX
HDD:4x WesternDigital 4TB and 1x ADATA SSD 120gb

Check your event logs. See if you can find out what triggered the restart.

Also rememberd one thing. When i built it i wanted to use the onboard GPU but then the pc restarted every 5 minutes until i put in the 770gtx. Maby the CPU draws to much power without the GPU ? The PSU is a Corsair vx550w (CMPSU-550VX) and i realised its about 10 years old.

Harddrive bad sectors can caused pc to crash.

Bad Sector -> crash -> corrupt system files.

You may wanna check the harddrive health and system files integrity.
