First off, it's a GL502VT with 12GB of RAM.

Last week I slammed my fists on my keyboard after getting mad at my particularly sketchy wifi. This broke my laptop and I tried taking to PC Repair shop but they didn't have the "tools." I also asked Reddit and they said I cracked a BGA which is still possible but I think it's the Southbridge Chip.

I completely removed the motherboard and when plugged in the Southbridge Chip immediately gets super hot. When it was fully assembled the power indicator light was on and the charging light first appeared red then turned green. I took a few pictures and I also found some images from some sketchy Asian website.

1. Am I correct in that there is an issue with the Southbridge Chip?

2. Is it possible a nearby capacitor or transistor or whatever could be broken?

3. Is it a completely different component?

4. Where can I send my laptop/motherboard to be repaired, if possible at all?

5. Should I just buy a new motherboard for $270-$900?

If you need more details or pictures I can provide.
