GUIMiner-scrypt error?

I am trying to mine with my GTX760 in CUDAminer on GUIMiner-scrypt but it keeps coming up with this error every time i try and press start:

 

json_rpc_call failed, retry after 15 seconds 

 

Has anyone come across this and figured out how to fix it?

The version of CudaMiner in GUIMiner is from last April. You would get faster hashrate by using the latest version.

Im kind of looking for a more simplistic way to mine (guiminer) since i am only getting started in mining.... but thanks. do you know how i could solve this error?

have you made a batch file for your pool in the cudaminer.exe folder?

do you have to do that for GUIminer? what does that look like? My host is america.mine-litecoin.com

im not sure about guiminer, but if you have a nvidia gpu just use cudaminer much easier. All you have to do is this:

1. Make a new text document by right clicking in the file directory where cudaminer.exe is, name it anything you want.

2. In the text document type:

"cudaminer auto -o stratum+tcp://america.mine-litecoin.com -u (YOUR Weblogin).(YOUR WorkerNAME)) -p (Worker password)"

3. save as "name you gave text doc".bat

4. Then launch the batch file you just made and it should work.

cudaminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://america.mine-litecoin.com -O WEB.Worker:pass

for any recent versions
