Picking the right GPU (quick help needed)

Evitinia

Hey guys, I need some quick decision help

I need a new gpu and I'm aiming for an RTX 2060.

However, some ppl tell me to get a Vega since my monitor only has freesync. Some tell me to get a rigged GTX 1070ti.

I just want the best gpu for my use cases; streaming, video editing, Blender, gaming.

In that order, I live in Germany and I have a maximum budget of 400€

I really need your help on this one guys.

Thanks in advance

In most cases, the 2060 is likely to give you slightly better performance, though they are functionally going to be very similar.

When it comes to freesync, the number of monitors that can be used freesync enabled on Nvidia GPU's is ever growing. Check the model of your monitor for freesync enabled compatibility.

Where exactly can I get the list?

Do monitors that are 2 years old get backwards compatibility at all.

Thank you

I'd look at the 2060 and the Vega 64 if it's in your budget.

Monitors not on this list may work flawlessly with gsync, may partially work, or may not work at all. These are just the ones that Nvidia have tested and verified as functioning.

Are the 2gigs of VRAM that valuable today, it made a huge difference back in the day, but I don't know about the present day ?

It's a faster card for gaming but not sure about Blender, regardless of the VRAM.  Just curious what price it is for you, then you can decide.

VRAM is nice to have but 6GB isn't a make or break scenario.

That cleared up my mind, as I was using an RX480 8gig and it was horrible in semi modern titles and in any Adobe application. Despite having 8 gig the processor itself was trash.

I would recommend a Vega 64. If you're ok with buying used parts then you might be able to find a 1080 Ti in that price range.

So Vega over both, the 1070ti and RTX 2060? Also what brand would you recommend?

I can't afford to buy used parts as of right now, to guarantee would be too risky

Pray for a cheap Vega 64 too, i mean if you;'re going to ask God for things.

Oh, and maybe even ask for a 2080Ti.  I mean, balls out when asking the big man, right?

Any brand of Vega 64 is fine, especially if you're trying to keep i cheap and in budget.

Regarding the Nvidia encoder, I heard the rtx line has a dedicated part split off for that workload.

Is that true?

Unless you are massively time pinched id wait and look into the rumors of the new NVidia Super cards.  They are going to drop an 8 gig 2060 supposedly and id bet that will drive the cost of the existing skus down..

Sadly I'm in a time pinch! My exams are in 2 weeks and I need my PC to study.

So right now, what should  I pick.

Can I do a poll in the forums?
