some laser mice have a tendency to pick up too much information, which can result in inaccurate data which can affect their reliability during some situations. I am sold that optical mice are far better, that is, if  your one of those sniper guys.

Input?

Laser mouse sensors, at this point, are outdated.

The Naga Chroma you linked has the particularly dreadful Philips Twin Eye sensor that i wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy, its that bad, even when you search for "Razer Naga Chroma" on Google some of the first suggestions are related to tracking issues people are having with it.

But on the other hand the Corsair Scimitar you linked is a great choice if you're into MMO mice and don't mind some weight, i had one for quite some time and it was marvelous, the standard version comes with the great Pixart S3988 and the updated Pro version comes with the renowned Pixart PWM-3360, i'd definitely recommend it.

Unless its changed recently, the best sensors to look for in mice are the 3360 optical sensor.

Laser sensors are very finicky, while they were original used due to high sensitivity and DPI, optical sensors are now just as good and less finicky. The only upside to laser is their ability to be used on any surface, unlike optical.

Additionally, ur never going to use DPi above 1500 for the most part. So if one states 6000 and another 16000 , its make no difference in the end.

Its like making a decision between 2 cars for purely street use, one goes 120MPH the other 170MPH, in the end it is irrelevant as the fastest u'll be going legally is 70MPH, or maybe 80MPH for overtaking purposes (even though its illegal).

That hasn't changed for the last couple of years, its still one of the top optical sensors around.

Of course some sensors have surfaced since it launched like Steelseries' TrueMove 3+, Logitech's Mercury and Hero as well as brand exclusive variations from the 3360 such as the 3366 and 3367, but at the end of the day they work just as well in comparison.
