Hi everyone, I am really new here, and I would like to you guys tell me what you think about my rig. I already built the rig and sorry for my english(not my primary language)

So here it goes the specs:

MotherBoard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme

CPU: Intel i7 3930K Hexa-core(not overclocked)

GPU: EVGA 660ti Superclocked + 3GB

RAM: 32GB Vengeance 1600MHz quad-channel

Watercooler: Corsair H100

SSD: Samsung 830 128GB

HD: 2TB Seagate

Power Supply: Corsair HX1050

Case: Cosmos 2

Keyboard: Razer Arctose

Mice: Razer Deathadder Black Edition

Well that is my build, I still want to change a few thing one of them is the GPU and Watercooling, I want a better GPU and put a nice custom loop inside. The powersupply I know is overkill, but I was worry about not having enought power for later upgrades, right now is all stock, but runs everything good and without any problem, I like amazing graphics, but I know my GPU cant handle Crysis 3 on ultra, but still even on High an amazing Graphic with a nice FPS.

Let me know what u guys think.

Great rig, packing a lot of horsepower. Maybe even a bit over-powered in terms of CPU and RAM for a gaming rig, are you using it for anything else as well? With that CPU+motherboard+cooler combination, are you planning on overclocking soon?

Edit: Just to clarify, is this a build you're planning or one you've already built?

CPU seems overkill for a 660Ti, as well as RAM, I'd go for a 3770k and 16GB, unless you upgrade to a GTX 680 or above/ AMD 7970 or above

PC: EVGA GTX680, i5 2500K, 8GB Kingston HyperX, Gigabyte Z68-GA-UD3P, 120GB OCZ SSD, 2x1TB WD Greens, Corsair 600t, Corsair AX750, Corsair H100i, ASUS MX239H, Corsair K60 + M60.

Conelton:

I already build this one, I use for some video editing but which is rarely, but more for gaming, and is for long term, and I am not planing to overclock because of life spam gets reduce.

Tommy:

I am planning to upgrade to GTX 680 when I start to do the custom loop, I want to put the EVGA gtx 680 hydro series, and the RAM the price difference when I bought wasnt so much, so I put some more money in the ram I was thinking on 16, but because of the sale I got the 32

I love it! Only thing I would change is the GPU though.

Maybe a GTX 680 or a 7970GHz Edition. Both are very very good cards.

If you are going to upgrade the GPU and you want to keep this system for the long term, get a Titan instead of a 680. There are waterblocks available for it as well :) Your CPU is way overpowered for even a 680.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

ya i have xfire 7970s and they kick ass in EVERYTHING with a i7 x79 platform and all i am using is an 850w psu and 16gb ram that is all u need tbh i would go with an AX psu not an HX so that it is fully modular and also maybe if u wana splurge look into the tj11 it is a kickass case for watercooling so ya those are just my tips Good Luck xD

Fair enough, although if you will be upgrading soon, it might now be worth dropping money on a 660Ti. It may be more worth your money to get a previous gen card, or second hand - unless you have a secondary system to put the 660Ti in once it's time is done. If you want to spend money on RAM, go for it! the more the better :)

Is this rig for gaming? If so, that CPU is wayyyy overkill (Even for basic editing) but since you've already built it, just leave it.

I would change the RAM to 16GB (Unless you do editing/3D work)

You're fine with a 850W PSU

And I guess you can change the GPU to a 670/680/7970
