I got a xfx rs rx480 4gb about 2 months ago and im not dissapointed on its performance, tho the temps are pretty high when i play games, around 78-90c (non-undervolted) or rn 65-80c (undervolted). As you read ive undervolted it just because the temps gets soooo hot when playing non-undervolted, but im tired of it, as everytime i start up my pc i have to load the settings into wattman, and sometimes it also crashes etc. Ive already changed thermal paste 2 times on it, and while it did drag down the temps with about 5 i still personally dont like it being so warm, and its annoying to apply the settings almost all the time, even sometimes when i wake my pc up from sleep. But i dont want it so hot especially now when its soon summer (here in sweden), and in the sumer my room gets SUPER hot (maybe 25-30c +). The card also got a bios switch so i can have 2 bios on it, and the previous owner put a rx 580 bios on it too so i can switch without any problems, and the previous owner didnt have any problems with it except some crashes here and there. So my question now is: should i change to the rx580 bios and hope the temps will go down a bit (idunno maybe better drivers?) or go to the 580 and undervolt it, so i get both a little bit more fps and the temps go down a bit too. or should i just stay with the rx480. I dont really have anything to loose, so im up for anything.

If i choose to change to the rx 580 bios, how will i know what drivers to install for it? ive tried before but the auto amd driver didnt work. Is there anywhere i can look up what kind of bios it is and to what card?
