Displayport help!

Hello! I am planning on building my first gaming pc and i stumbled across a problem. When i searched for the best adapter for my monitor(AOC C24G1) and my graphics card (ASUS RADEON RX 580 8GB) i got the answer that for a 144hz monitor, a displayport is the best choice. When i search for a displayport, i can only find ones that are displayport to HDMI or displayport to mini displayport, so i need help! I want to be able to use the full capability of my 144hz freesync monitor! 

 

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Both your monitor and GPU have displayport, you don't need an adapter between them just a normal displayport cable

so the displayport works for 144hz?
